Rava Idli Tadke Wali

Rava idli tadke wali made with suji(rava/semolina), yogurt & some spices which can be made instantly. Its healthy breakfast recipes. Idli is one such recipe, which can be eaten anytime in the morning and evening. Serve with tomato chutney.

Steps For Rava Idli Tadke Wali Recipe :

For Rava Idli Batter :

  • 2 Cup Rava (Semolina, Suji)
  • 1 Cup Curd
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 tsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1 tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Salt to Taste

Rava & Curd mix in a bowl, then add turmeric powder.
Add water as required
Mix well and rest it for minimum 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes, add the oil mix baking soda to the batter just before steaming to get soft idlis.
Add chopped coriander to the batter, mix well.

Grease the idli mold with oil and pour the idli batter of the mold.
Steam the idlis for 20 minutes

For Tomato Chutney :

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tbsp Cumin Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Coriander Seeds
  • 1 tbsp Chana Dal
  • 10-12 Curry Leaves
  • 2nos Green Chillies
  • 2-3 Medium size chopped Tomatoes

Heat oil in a pan and add cumin & coriander seeds, once the seeps pops our add chana dal, curry leaves. Then add chopped tomatoes sauté it.
Remove it from flame and cool down, transfer it to a grinding jar and grind to a paste.

For Tempering :

  • 1 tbsp Oil
  • 1 tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 15-20 Curry Leaves

The idlis are cooked completely, Cool down the idlis and demold them
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds & curry leaves, once the seeps pops add the steamed rava idli to the pan & tossed.

Serve this instant idli with freshly prepared tomato chutney.
