I have made a kulcha sandwich with homemade kulcha, you can use readymade plain kulcha for a grilled stuffed kulcha sandwich.
Kulcha is a famous Indian Flatbread. Home-made Kulcha recipe without yeast is easy and simple that is healthy and guilt-free too which gives perfect street style Kulchas, whether baked in the oven or on Tawa. Kulcha Sandwich Pizza is a recipe that can be made instantly on the Tawa.
It is one food item that is served as a main course as well as a snack item. Also, it is equally popular as street food as well as in fine dining.
Steps For how to make Stuffed Paneer Kulcha Sandwich :
Home-made Tawa Kulcha Ingredients :
- 2 Cups Maida (Refined Flour)
- Salt to Taste
- 4 tbsp Butter (Melted)
- 1 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Baking Soda
- 4 tbsp Curd
- Water as required
Kulcha Filling Ingredients:
- 200 gm. Paneer (Cottage Cheese)
- 1 small Chopped Onion
- 1 small Chopped Capsicum
- 1 small Chopped Tomato
- Salt to taste
- 1 tsp Oregano
- 1 tsp Red Chili Flakes
- 1tsp Coriander Leaves
- 2 nos Green Chili
- 1 tbsp Mozzarella Cheese
For Assembling Ingredients:
- 1tbsp Mayonnaise
- 1tbsp Pizza Sauce
Kulcha Preparation :
In a mixing bowl, add Maida (Refined Flour), curd, baking powder, baking soda, salt, melted butter, and some water and knead it into a soft pliable dough.
Rest the dough for 20mins. Cover with a damp kitchen towel.
After 20mins make small dough balls and rest for another 10mins.
Roll out the dough. Put coriander leaves on it.
Preheat a pan over medium heat. Put this onto a pan. Add some water to the sides and cover it.
Flip it onto the other side and cook till golden brown.
Once both the sides have golden brown spots all over, remove them from heat. Repeat this with the rest of the rolled Kulchas.
Kulcha Filling Mixture Preparation
In the mixing bowl add paneer, chopped onion, chopped green chilies, chopped tomato, chopped capsicum, chopped fresh coriander leave, oregano, red chili flakes, mozzarella cheese, and salt. Mix well so that the seasoning is evenly mixed.
Now take the kulcha and cut it in half. Take the first half spread a layer of Pizza sauce and the second half spread a layer of mayonnaise. Spread some paneer filling and spread evenly. Cover this hole with another half kulcha.
Heat a pan, grill pan, or sandwich maker. I am using a grill pan. Spread some butter and place the kulcha sandwich. Spread butter on the outer surface of the kulchas. Toast it from both sides until crisp and light brown, similarly toast the other sandwich.
